When tech support call is received regarding a blank screen or no LCD display, follow the guideline below and record the problem with detailed information as outlined below:
Example 1 – LCD screen turns off during normal operation; proceed with RA
Example 2 – System does not boot and no sound from the radio

LCD turns off during normal operation? Does screen turn on when booting up? |

If LCD turns off during operation, does it turn off when using a specific feature or audio mode? |

- If there are no sound from the factory radio, check fuses and power cables.
- If the radio is functioning normally but the LCD is still blank, try disconnecting the negative (-) terminal of the car battery for about 30 minutes and restart the system.
- Use GROUND wire located on the SMART cable to ground it to the vehicle chassis frame.
Inspect for any peeled off cable sheath and/or damaged outer insulation; wrap it around using an electrical tape as necessary.
