Symptom : Hard keys do not function

None of the Hard key buttons below screen do anything - APPLIES TO ELANTRA & SONATA

System Settings:
1. Check TRIP program, attempt to reset Trip program(Instructions)

Troubleshooting:
1. Testing LCD Screen:

A. Go to main menu(the screen with Navigation on the bottom left corner)

B. Select Radio

C. Turn Radio on, if screen doesnt work use steering wheel controls

D. If radio turns on and center of screen shows radio station or other radio display then LCD screen is fine.

2. Testing for Trip board connection or keyboard failure
A. Remove LCD screen so you can access the trip board mounted in the factory radio.

B. Watch the LED lights as you press the hard key buttons. They should react to the signal from the key board.

C. If commmunication is not apparent check for correct cable placement on the trip board and back of key set.
