Troubleshooting:
1. Checking the speaker cable connectors
-Ensure speaker cables are secured with a “click” when locking the two connectors with each other
2. Testing the built-in speaker *Please proceed with caution and at your own risk.
-Disassemble speaker cable connector and use voltmeter to measure resistor value (should read ~ 8 ohm ± 15%); If the difference in rating is >20% or shorted, speaker is deemed defective; Request for replacement unit
3. Testing the main unit (LCD) *Please proceed with caution and at your own risk.
-With the cables disconnected check normal level value [voltage] of each pins: X1 unit – pins 7 and 9 / X2 unit – pins 14 and 16 (see the cable tab for pin assignment)
>When music is playing: X1 unit – 2.3V / X2 unit – 0.14V
> When music is not playing: X1 unit – 2.3~2.8V / X2 unit – 1.2V
If the voltage reads differently from the above values, request for replacement unit.
4. Checking the cable *Please proceed with caution and at your own risk.
-If the voltage from the main unit falls under the normal range, measure the voltage with the cables connected
>When music is playing: X1 unit – 2.3V / X2 unit – 0.14V
> When music is not playing: X1 unit – 2.3~2.8V / X2 unit – 1.2V
