Symptom : "Trip Module Not Found"

"Trip Module Not Found" Message

System Settings:
1. Check TRIP S/W version

Troubleshooting:
1. Remove the LCD from the dash and unplug the LCD touch screen sensor from the Trip Interface Board. Make sure the vehicle is powered off prior to doing so.

2. Once removed, please check the two LED lights that should be flashing on the left side of the Trip Interface Board.

3. If there are no LED lights flashing while the ribbon cable is inserted, you may have either a defective ribbon cable, or Trip Interface Board.

4. If there are LED lights flashing, please power off the vehicle, remove the ribbon cable from the stock radio, and Trip Interface Board and properly re-insert it making sure that both sides are straight, and fully secured.

5. Once you have connected all the cables that need to be inserted into the Trip Interface Board, please make sure you have the 5 pin "REMOCON" cable plugged in; there is a piggy-tailed 3 pin connector coming off of the "REMOCON" 5 pin connector labeled "TRIP", please make sure that the female "TRIP" wire is connected into the power smart cable "TRIP" male connector.

6. If all the above steps have been implemented, and you're still receiving the "Trip Module Not Found" error message, please revert the unit back to stock to check if you're getting display from the stock radio.

7. If you are not receiving a display, you can limit your problem to the ribbon cable, or the stock radio itself.

8. You can try to replace the ribbon cable to see if you will receive radio display; otherwise, your stock radio would have to be replaced (covered by warranty through dealership, or you can contact us to try and get it warrantied).
